Before I thought tears where a moment ago water and saline. in a means of access, i think this doc is right.blood lacking red blood cells, which is the majority of the formed elements within the blood contents, is plasma. what makes up blood plasma is dampen, electrolytes (salt), plasma protein. what makes up tears is river, salt, enzyme (a form of protein). so i have an idea that Dr. Karl makes sense surrounded by this way..but, besides RBCs, near are WBCs, and platelets in blood.so he have said.tears are blood without formed elements, he could enjoy been more precise.
what the heck? who is this "dr karl"? does he own any credentials?

Tears are not blood in need rbc's.
Have you ever heard of crack ducts? They produce a sodium and water solution to maintain your eyes hydrated.
