Caused by a virus which attcks posterior root ganglion of the spinal or the cranial nerve. It is unilateral and cause inflammmatory vescular eruption along the nerve . The helping cause are, stress (both physical and mental ) Tumors of the spinal cord, immunosuppressant states and
drugs.
