if you purloin the pill at the same time, and you purloin it every day, you keep going a steady low level of estrogen surrounded by your blood. this is enough to hold the body from producing its own estrogen in the monthly stencil. a spike in estrogen even triggers ovulation. so it prevents ovulation if you take it every year at the same time.
progesterone is usually included contained by the pill, which affects the endometrium but i forget exactly what it does. implantation is very unlikely within this condition.
