Does the vandalize of telomeres get us hoary.?If truewhat is the idea?

Iam a bio student and I heard only just that telomere's damage can wreak agieng and i wanted to know its grounds.I would be happy if i could achieve aprecise answer Geneticist Richard Cawthon and colleagues at the University of Utah found shorter telomeres are associated with shorter lives. Among ancestors older than 60, those near shorter telomeres were three times more credible to die from heart disease and eight times more likely to die from infectious disease.
While telomere shortening have been connected to the aging process, it is not yet specified whether shorter telomeres are just a sign of aging - approaching gray hair - or in fact contribute to aging.
If telomerase makes cancer cell immortal, could it prevent normal cell from aging? Could we extend lifespan by preserving or restoring the length of telomeres next to telomerase? If so, does that raise a risk the telomerase also will wreak cancer?
Scientists are not yet sure. But they enjoy been competent to use telomerase to make human cell keep dividing far beyond their regular limit surrounded by laboratory experiments, and the cells do not become cancerous.
telomeres are the ends of chromosomes. We adjectives have chromosomes, so we adjectives got telomeres. Telomeres are themselves of late telomeres. But when it comes to copying them, the cell has to spawn special arrangements because as you know, DNA sythesis can only stir in one direction (5'->3').
This special arrangment is carried out by a protein call telomerase, and it's inability to do it's job immaculately over and over again is hypothesized to play a role in degeneration of the telomeres and aging.
